Nettle (Coming Soon)

Small Pet Select really advocates for lots of diet variety. But, that variety has to be the right stuff. And we love nettle for diet variety. Nettle is a favourite rabbit herb and guinea pig herb.

Nettle is high in protein, with a good calcium-phosphorus ratio, and contains a lot of silica (the thing in greens that helps keep teeth ground down). It’s also a great  a source of iron and vitamins, which makes it a terrific all-around healthy forage for rabbits and guinea pigs.

That’s a lot of good stuff packed into one herb! Your rabbits and guinea pigs might not care about all of those benefits, but we sure do.

Adding nettle as a forage atreat keeps your animal from becoming bored. So try it out! Your small pet will go gaga.
